KSM workshops form a structured progression—from first-time airbrush instruction through advanced control and specialist finishing. Review the workshop paths, identify the result you want, and submit a participation request. KSM will assess experience, prerequisites, scheduling, and workshop fit before confirming a place.
A participation request is not automatic enrolment. Session details and payment instructions are issued only after placement and availability are confirmed.

No previous airbrush experience is required. The foundation session establishes setup, trigger control, measured reduction, atomization, cleaning, and maintenance.

KSM will determine whether Advanced Airbrush Control or a foundation correction is the appropriate next step. Ownership alone is not the qualifying standard.

The series is not a compulsory twelve-step course. Participants establish the required foundation, strengthen core control, and then enter the specialist track relevant to their work.

Foundation
Airbrush 101
Best suited to: first-time users and modellers whose basic control remains inconsistent.
Outcome: reliable setup, double-action trigger control, measured paint reduction, atomization awareness, cleaning, and maintenance.
Prerequisite: none.

Core Control
Advanced Airbrush Control
Best suited to: users who understand the fundamentals but need greater precision, consistency, and diagnostic control.
Outcome: tighter spray envelopes, cleaner edges, controlled transitions, improved paint handling, and disciplined correction.
Prerequisite: Airbrush 101 or equivalent demonstrated fundamentals.

Automotive High-Gloss Showroom Finishes
Outcome: disciplined surface preparation, smooth film build, reflection control, defect prevention, and refined gloss presentation.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
04 · Specialist
Military and AFV Finishes
Outcome: scale-sensitive layering, opacity control, tonal variation, camouflage discipline, and convincing service finishes without exaggerated modulation.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
05 · Specialist
Aircraft Finishes
Outcome: smooth coverage, subtle variation, controlled atomization, camouflage-edge discipline, and scale-appropriate airframe finishes.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
06 · Specialist
Miniature Figure Painting
Outcome: controlled underpainting, targeted colour placement, soft transitions, clothing contrast, and airbrush groundwork that supports brush refinement.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
07 · Specialist
Gundam Finishes
Outcome: clean mechanical colour separation, masking control, gloss and sheen planning, panel discipline, and modern stylized presentation.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
08 · Specialist
Super Metallic Finishes
Outcome: substrate preparation, undercoat discipline, reflectivity preservation, metallic-film control, and purposeful gloss-to-matte optical planning.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
09 · Specialist
Ships and Submarines
Outcome: restrained naval colour, controlled surface variation, hull and superstructure treatment, and maritime finish planning above and below the waterline.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
10 · Specialist
Diorama and Vignette Bases
Outcome: integrated ground tones, atmospheric dusting, texture support, colour cohesion, and base presentation that strengthens rather than competes with the subject.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.
11 · Specialist
Diecast Restoration and Finishing
Outcome: strip-down planning, substrate correction, primer compatibility, surface recovery, refined repainting, and finish restoration for commercial cast subjects.
Prerequisite: established fundamentals and instructor placement.

Capstone
Master Airbrush Workshop
Best suited to: experienced modellers pursuing demanding precision and higher-order refinement.
Outcome: deeper troubleshooting, advanced paint behaviour, subtle film control, refined trigger muscle memory, edge discipline, and deliberate finish execution.
Prerequisite: strong demonstrated command and instructor approval.

How participation works
01. Submit a participation request
Tell KSM which workshop interests you, where your present skills stand, and what result you want to achieve.
02. KSM reviews workshop fit
We assess prerequisites, current experience, instructional level, scheduling, and available capacity. KSM may recommend a different starting point.
03. A suitable place is offered
When an appropriate session is available, KSM sends the date, location, fee, equipment requirements, and payment instructions.
Submitting the form does not reserve a seat, confirm enrolment, or create a payment obligation.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous airbrush experience?
No. Airbrush 101 begins at the foundation level. Advanced and specialist workshops, however, assume that setup, trigger control, paint handling, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting are already reliable.
I own an airbrush. Can I enter an advanced workshop?
Ownership is not the qualifying standard. Placement depends on whether the required fundamentals are already in place. KSM may recommend Airbrush 101 or Advanced Airbrush Control before a specialist session.
Do I have to attend every workshop?
No. The ladder makes progression clear, but participants enter the specialist track relevant to their work once the required foundation is established.
Does submitting the form reserve a seat?
No. The form records your interest and gives KSM the information required to assess placement. A seat is confirmed only through a separate message containing the session details and payment instructions.
Are the workshops limited to KSM members?
No. Participation is open to modellers seeking structured airbrush instruction, subject to prerequisites, suitable placement, available capacity, and the requirements announced for each session.
