The KSM Scale Model Showcase is moving forward as a standalone scale-modelling event with its own identity, operating standards and public presence. The date is set, development is underway, and the Showcase now has a dedicated online home.

More Than a Model Show
The Scale Model Showcase is being developed as a serious regional event with a distinctive identity, a curated Model Hall, a focused Vendor Marketplace and a competition program designed around the quality of the work.
This is not being built as a generic hobby swap or a hurried walk through rows of tables. The aim is a better-paced event where models can be seen properly, vendors reach the right audience, visitors have reasons to stay, and the craft of scale modelling remains at the centre of the day.
The objective is not simply to hold another hobby event.
The objective is to build a better one.

Show the Work Properly
The Model Hall is intended to be the centrepiece of the Showcase. Aircraft, armour, automotive, civilian, marine, figures, science fiction, fantasy, vignettes and dioramas all deserve room to be seen and appreciated.
Different subjects. Different scales. One standard: give the work a serious stage.
02 · FOR VENDORS
A Marketplace With Purpose
The Vendor Marketplace is being developed around a concentrated scale-modelling audience. Manufacturers, retailers, aftermarket producers, specialist suppliers and private vendors should be an integral part of the event—not an afterthought.
Vendor information and registration details will be released through the official Showcase website as the program is finalized.
03 · FOR VISITORS
A Reason to Stay
The Showcase is being designed for more than a quick walk through a hall. Visitors should be able to study the models, meet builders, discover clubs, explore the Marketplace, ask questions and leave with a stronger impression of what scale modelling can be.
For someone new to scale modelling, it may be where the hobby begins.
Why the Standalone Direction Matters
The Scale Model Showcase now has the freedom to develop its own identity, standards, partnerships, public presentation and event structure while remaining unmistakably a Kawartha Scale Modellers initiative.
KSM remains the organization behind the event. The dedicated Showcase website gives the event itself room to grow.
Regional Scale Modelling, Built Properly
The Showcase is being developed for modellers, vendors and visitors from Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, Durham Region, Clarington, Oshawa, Whitby, Bowmanville, Belleville, the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
The event has to be worth the drive.
