OptiVISOR & OptiVISOR LX (AL)Working with the OptiVISOR for the past week or so, I find I am reaching for it all the time. It has completely transformed my modelling experience. I can’t imagine doing without one now.
If reading glasses are also used for modelling, the OptiVISOR lens multiplies the magnification making it even better.
Here is some information differencing the OptiVISOR types.
OptiVISOR (Blue Frame)The blue frame denotes a glass lens.
OptiVISOR LX (AL: Acrylic Lens, Clear Frame)The clear lens frame is a lightweight, optical-quality acrylic lens.
Loupes (Optional: 2.5x Magnification)For greater magnification on specific pieces of work such as a figure’s face, the optional loop mounted to either lens can be swung down for significantly greater enlargement.
HOBBIES + BEYOND (Lindsay) has a good selection of OptiVISORS.
Avoid the inferior, less expensive knockoffs.
